We understand that everyone’s journey through the menopause will be different, but we are here to offer some advice on simple ways you can ease your symptoms and take control of how you are feeling.

The Event: **POSTPONED DUE TO COVID-19 REGULATIONS**
Take some time to focus on yourself on one of our Healthy Lifestyle and Wellbeing Workshops in a beautiful location in Dorset.

Launceston Farm, near Blandford, is the home to our first workshop focusing on the menopause. The Workshop space is a refreshing environment; a beautiful, tranquil space with heaps of character.

Launceston Farm, Tarrant Launceston, Blandford Forum DT11 8BY

Our healthy lifestyle workshops are designed to give you the reboot you need. Healthy living is not just about how much physical exercise you do and the food you eat, it also requires a good positive mental attitude. This day will empower you to make the changes needed to help you fulfil your potential and engage in permanent, positive healthy changes.

The day isn’t about sitting you down and talking at you. It’s about giving you the space to consider what you could change and how. There will be time to reflect, time to relax, time to get active and time to learn…..

The workshop is designed to follow the five ways to wellbeing: Connect, Be Active, Take Notice, Keep Learning and Give.

CONNECT: Connect with a small, supportive community, all going through a very similar time of their life; the menopause. Building stronger, wider social connections can help us feel happier and give us a greater sense of purpose.

BE ACTIVE: Take part in a low impact strength building class (suitable for all levels of fitness) while learning about the body and why it’s important to do load bearing exercises. No need to worry about breaking out in a hot flush…we’re all in this together.

TAKE NOTICE: Be curious! Enjoy a walk in the peaceful countryside location and practice some walking meditation. Or, if you’d prefer, you can stay at the farm and take some time to yourself.

KEEP LEARNING: With a focus on the menopause, learn all about how reflexology could help you ease your symptoms.

GIVE: This one is a surprise 💚

Why is our workshop different?
We will take the time to get to know you before the workshop even starts; to make sure you get the most out of it as possible. This means that no one workshop will be the same – no copy and paste carbon copy schedules! And our care doesn’t stop the minute you wave us goodbye on the day – you will have the option for us to connect a few weeks later to make sure you are making the progress you wanted, with the ability to answer any questions you’ve found along the way.

Who is this workshop for?
This event is aimed at those going through the menopause. This workshop is for you if you are committed to achieving optimal health so you can live the rest of your life with vitality and energy. It is not strictly about dieting and weight loss (although this subject will be touched upon), it is about how you can make some small lifestyle changes to create big differences in all aspects of your life. It is about taking time to slow down and focus on yourself. Calming your mind helps you to solve a problem in a more relaxed way.

Bringing in the experts: reflexology for the menopause
Laura Dean: LD Holistics
Being a woman of a certain age, I totally understand your menopause anguish!
The hot flushes, mood swings, insomnia, weight gain, painful joints etc can often feel like an onslaught.
The good news is I can help you to take back control.
During this fabulous workshop, I will be demonstrating simple hand and facial reflexology techniques that you can then practice on each other (guidelines permitting and not compulsory) and then apply to yourself, whenever you need to, as well as giving you a simple understanding of this incredibly powerful holistic therapy.
We cannot prevent the menopause, however we can ease the bumps in the road so that we are able to fully enjoy and celebrate the wonderful freedoms that this powerful phase in our lives allows.
